The ASR Dutch Science Park Fund is adding 10,000 square metres of office space, makers labs and community space to NEXT Delft with the construction of phase II. The space is intended for scale-ups and new tech companies wanting to set up business on campus and in close proximity to Delft University. Phase I of NEXT Delft was completed in March 2022 and was fully let within six months. Rental operations have commenced and are being managed by a.s.r. real estate directly. Construction of phase II starts this month, with completion scheduled for Q3 2025.

NEXT Delft (phase I) forms a unique hub within the TU Delft Campus ecosystem, a top tech innovation ecosystem where more than 45,000 researchers, entrepreneurs, employees and students collaborate on radical innovations that drive positive change in society. NEXT Delft offers a conducive and flexible place for entrepreneurs to grow their business, with all the necessary facilities and a supportive community of like-minded entrepreneurs.

Phase II offers the same features and facilities as phase I

NEXT Delft phase II complements and expands the office and manufacturing space for innovative business activities appropriate to TU Delft’s target group. With a variety of meet & greet facilities, including a conference centre, co-working and community space as well as upgraded food and drink outlets, the building provides a wide range of opportunities for interaction, knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Phase II is being developed by FiMek estate on behalf of the ASR Dutch Science Park Fund of a.s.r. real estate. Similar to phase I, the expansion with a gross floor area of approximately 10,000 square metres was designed by Ector Hoogstad Architects, with Up Architecture contributing their expertise to create the interior spaces. The construction work is being overseen by the construction team, with De Vries en Verburg Bouw as the lead contractor and Lomans Totaalinstallateur responsible for all technical equipment and installations. IMd Raadgevende Ingenieurs are the structural engineers and Nelissen ingenieursbureau is the installation consultant.

The development of phase II of NEXT Delft is a result of the close collaboration between the ASR Dutch Science Park Fund and TU Delft, and is being facilitated by grant aid from the Zuid-Holland Campuses provincial grant scheme.
